Snakes escape on plane

There were twelve 15cm long snakes being flown across Australia. They were found missing from their container when the plane landed in Melbourne and people first thought that they were eaten by the other snakes. But then the people realized that the snakes had escaped and the passengers had to be moved to another plane. An airline spokesmen said, "They're not endangered so a decision was made to fumigate. If these snakes turn up they will be very much dead snakes." The baby snakes, which can grow to about a meter long were being transported in the cargo hold of the aircraft in a bag inside a plastic foam box with air holes.
